So last night was the premiere of Celebrity Apprentice. I hadn't seen it before it aired, so it's interesting to see what they cut and what they didn't. First of all, if I knew the first task was going to be a food task, I definitely would have volunteered to be the project manager--that's my specialty! But I think Patricia did a great job.
I do have to explain about the sandwich on Rachael Ray. It was *not* my sandwich! We all created our own sandwich, and mine was called "Teresa Giudice's Hot-Blooded Housewife Hoagie" (you can see our menu here). You know how I like my food: hot, Italian, and delicious! It had my roasted hot peppers, spicy sopressata, prosciutto, provolone, Kalamata olives, oil and vinegar on Focaccia bread. I know it would have won! I would never have sent a turkey sandwich on sliced bread to the Rachael Ray show, but it was Patricia's choice, and she was the project manager, so I respected it. But I didn't love when she said the sandwich was made by me & Victoria in the boardroom! We technically "made" all the sandwiches in the kitchen, but I didn't create that one or send it over!
And yes, my recipe for roasted peppers--one of my dad's favorite things to eat, that's why I named it after him--"Papa's Roasted Peppers" and homemade "Fabulicious Focaccia" bread (which is easier than you think and so so good!) are both in my second cookbook FABULICIOUS!
What other questions can I answer? I got my black & white dress from the Lincoln Center scene from Steven Dann in Long Island. The green dress from the boardroom was from my amazing designer friend Marc Bouwer. The boardroom is harder than you can even imagine. You never know what Mr. Trump is going to say. As you saw with Tia, he turns things around on you. Soooo stressful.
Cheryl Tiegs was amazing. I really loved her. We got along great. And she does have an amazing positive energy about her. I also love love love Aubrey. We ended up working together the most and were partners in crime--especially after the cameras stopped rolling! Adam Corolla is soooo funny! So is Arsenio. Clay was very nice and very sweet... until you crossed him. I loved Lou. We bonded being Italians. It was great having so many Italians on the show. Paul Teutul probably surprised me the most. He was like a big teddy bear. He was very protective of the cast, and I always felt very safe around him. He reminded me of my Joe. And Victoria Gotti was also a surprise. She is crazy smart. Did you know she wrote 5 novels, 2 nonfiction books, and a book on heart disease called "Women & Mitral Valve Prolapse"? And she was a journalist for the NY Post and Star magazine and is now the Editor-in-Chief of Reality TV Magazine. Like I said, crazy smart.
Thank you all for your amazing support and messages on Twitter & Facebook! It means so much to me! I adore you all! I read all of your messages and reply to as many as I can.
I am so glad I decided to do Celebrity Apprentice, because it turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life, and the fact that I've been able to raise awareness for NephCure.org makes it even better. We need to cure this disease! Please visit their website and help out: www.nephcure.org.
Oh, and if you missed the episode, you can watch it on Hulu.com. xx
